What are Pets?
Pets are temporary companions in Totemancer that boost your chance of discovering new Totems. They help you grow your collection faster while you play matches, open chests, and progress through the game.
How Pets Work
When a Pet is active, it gives you a temporary Totem discovery boost. This means you have a better chance to discover Totems or improve discovery outcomes during gameplay.
Pets are not permanent. Each Pet stays active for a limited time, so the best strategy is to use them when you plan to play actively or open important rewards.
Pet Types
Pets are divided into two main types: Companions and Curiosities.
Companions
Companions are regular temporary Pets. They stay active for 12 hours and provide useful discovery boosts.

How to Get Pets
Pets can appear through in-game offers, events, special rewards, or other temporary opportunities. Some Pets may be easier to find, while stronger Curiosities may only appear during limited periods.
When a Pet is available, check its boost, duration, and cost before choosing whether to activate it.
When to Use a Pet
Pets are most useful when you are planning an active play session. Try to use them when you can play matches, earn or open chests, complete quests, and push your Totem collection forward.
- Use stronger Pets when you plan to play more.
- Combine Pets with chests to improve collection progress.
- Do not waste long-duration Pets if you are about to stop playing.
Example
If you activate an Eagle, your Totem discovery boost is doubled for the next 12 hours. If you later activate a stronger Curiosity like a Unicorn, you receive a much larger boost for 24 hours.
