What are Pets?
In Totemancer, Pets play a unique and magical role. These companions are drawn to your activity and dedication, joining you on your journey to help discover new Totems and explore the game’s vast landscapes. Pets come in two categories: Companions and Curiosities. Companions stay with you for 6 hours, while Curiosities remain for 24 hours, providing helpful bonuses during that time.
How to Find a Pet?
Pets choose their partners in special ways. Companions are attracted to active players who regularly engage in matches and challenges. Curiosities, on the other hand, appear only during special occasions — such as visits from the Merchant or limited-time events — making them rarer and more exciting to obtain.
Companions (6 Hours)
These pets join you based on your activity in the game and provide the following boosts:
- Eagle 🦅 — 100% boost to Totem discovery
- Owl 🦉 — 70% increase
- Squirrel 🐿️ — 40% boost
- Fox 🦊 — 20% boost
Curiosities (24 Hours)
Available only during special events, these pets grant powerful temporary bonuses:
- Unicorn 🦄 — 222% boost
- Wolf 🐺 — 80% increase
- Crow 🐦⬛ — 60% boost
- Lynx 🐱 — 55% boost
- Raccoon 🦝 — 50% increase
- Boar 🐗 — 45% boost
- Hedgehog 🦔 — 35% boost
- Salamander 🦎 — 30% increase
- Frog 🐸 — 25% boost

Each pet improves your ability to discover Totems while playing matches. For example, having an Eagle with you doubles your discovery progress, while a Unicorn provides an exceptional temporary boost during special events. These bonuses help you expand your collection faster and add an extra layer of planning to your strategy.
Example Scenario
Imagine you’re playing actively and an Eagle joins you — for the next six hours your discovery progress is doubled. Later, during a Merchant event, you acquire a Unicorn that stays for 24 hours with an even stronger bonus, helping you uncover new Totems much faster and making your session especially rewarding.
