The Totemancer Leaderboard is where players rise through the ranks to prove their dominance. Your rank is based on a points system designed to reward skill, strategy, and consistency. Here’s how it works:

The number of points you gain or lose depends on the rating difference between you and your opponent. Beating stronger players boosts your points more. Losing to weaker players hurts more.

1. Starting Out: Everyone begins as Unranked. To enter the ranked ladder, you must earn points by battling real players. Trainer battles and private matches do not count toward your rank.
2. Climbing the Ranks: Once you earn enough points, you'll reach Iron I, your first official rank. From there, move up through these tiers:
   
   Iron I → Iron II → Iron III
   Bronze I → Bronze II → Bronze III
   Silver I → Silver II → Silver III
   Gold I → Gold II → Gold III
   Diamond I → Diamond II → Diamond III
   Champion I → Champion II → Champion III
   The Ancient (the highest and most exclusive tier)
3. Points System: You need 100 points to advance to the next rank. Losing can subtract points, up to −25 per match. However, once you reach Iron I, you’ll never drop back to Unranked.
• Win: Gain between +10 to +25 points.
• Loss: Lose between −25 to 0 points.
• Draw: Gain or lose between −20 to +20 points, depending on opponent skill.
4. Real Matches Only: Only battles in Casual Mode or the Arena against real players count. Wins against Trainers or in private matches are not ranked.
5. Seasons & Soft Resets: At the end of each season, ranks are softly reset. The higher you climbed, the better your starting point next season — keeping the competition fresh and fair.
