Leaderboard & Rankings
The Totemancer Leaderboard is your path to glory - rise through the ranks and claim the ultimate title of The Ancient. Your progress depends on a points system designed to reward smart play, bold victories, and consistent performance.
Points are earned or lost after every ranked battle. Defeating stronger opponents gives you bigger gains, while losing to weaker ones hurts more. Casual Mode keeps matchups balanced, while Arena opens the gates for all-out competition.
-
Starting Out: You begin as Unranked. To enter the ladder, earn points by battling real players in Casual Mode or Arena. Trainer battles and private matches do not affect your rank.
-
Climbing the Ranks: Your first milestone is Iron I. From there, you’ll advance through tiers:
Iron I → Iron II → Iron III
Bronze I → Bronze II → Bronze III
Silver I → Silver II → Silver III
Gold I → Gold II → Gold III
Diamond I → Diamond II → Diamond III
Champion I → Champion II → Champion III
The Ancient (the pinnacle of Totemancer)
-
Tyrant: A rare, temporary status for Totemancers on a winning rampage. Win 10 matches in a row to become a Tyrant. Tyrants earn bonus mana per match - but beware, the player who defeats a Tyrant gets an even larger mana prize.
Tyrant status ends when you’re defeated, and another challenger can rise. It’s not about rank - it’s about dominance.
-
Points System: Points move you up or down the ladder. Rank-up thresholds scale by tier: 100 points per rank in tiers 0–10, 150 points in tiers 11–15, and 200 points in tiers 16–19. Once you reach Iron I, you can never drop back to Unranked.
- Win: Gain +10 to +40 points, depending on your tier and the strength of your opponent. At the top tiers, upset wins can grant even more.
- Loss: Lose −5 to −30 points. Early ranks have lighter penalties (−5 to −15), while Diamond and above can lose up to −30.
- Draw: Usually close to 0 (−3 to +3). Draw farming won’t help you climb.
- Upsets: Beating a higher-ranked opponent can add up to +15 extra points. Losing to a much weaker one can cost you up to −15 more.
-
Matchmaking Modes:
- Casual Mode: Uses a hidden skill rating to pair you with players of similar strength. Great for fair, balanced battles.
- Arena: Open matchmaking against anyone in the same Arena. Expect mixed skill levels - and big swings in points.
Only Casual and Arena matches against real players count toward your rank.
-
Seasons & Resets: Every three months, the leaderboard soft-resets. Higher ranks restart higher (e.g., Champion I may reset to Gold III), so your progress carries forward. Players inactive for 30 days automatically lose rank due to decay.
Will you rise to The Ancient - or terrify the ladder as a Tyrant? Fight in Casual Mode or Arena, outsmart your rivals, and track your climb on the leaderboard!
